Cheque Cashing Privileges
With your GM Card, TD Canada Trust branches will cash almost any cheque drawn on a Canadian financial institution that's payable to you – up to your available credit limit, to a maximum of $2,000 a day – whether you have a TD Canada Trust account or not.
Pre-authorized Payment Service
For added convenience, you can have your GM Card payments automatically withdrawn from your bank account at any Canadian financial institution. Guaranteed Hotel Reservations
When you charge hotel accommodations to your GM Card, you can request a guaranteed reservation. This assures that the room you asked for – or a comparable substitute – will be held, even if you arrive late, until checkout time the following day. Please note that cancellation fees may apply.
Emergency Assistance from the Visa International Service Centre
Visa International Service Centre representatives are ready to help 24 hours a day, seven days a week, anywhere in the world.
- Emergency Card Replacement – report your lost or stolen Card immediately and the Visa International Service Centre will do its best to get a replacement Card to you wherever you are.
- Emergency Cash Advance – you can ask for an emergency cash advance 1 up to $500 in emergency funds (subject to your available credit limit).
- Message Service – in the event of a personal emergency while travelling, messages can be forwarded to family members at home.
- Information – the Visa International Service Centre can provide you with the location of the nearest Visa member office where you can receive cash advances 1 , as well as the locations of embassies and consulates.
